BPS have an open plan office and a non-hierarchical employment structure so the company leader is always accessible to talk to. Managing Director Simon Conington actively makes a point of greeting all staff every morning and holds a weekly communication meeting.

A manager's performance is measured monthly through the use of a Monthly Action Plan (MAP). The MAP allows the individual and their manager to monitor their success and progress against their plan and objectives.

All staff are part of the Stars programme - a three-tier inclusive learning and development programme, focusing on developing employees from apprentice to director level. Each tier has clearly defined career pathways, aligned business objectives and an associate programme.

In June 2017, BPS held Go-Ape team building sessions that involved moving through tree tops using ropes and zip wires. The session was concluded with an evening dinner boat cruise. The session was available to everyone in the organisation and 80% of the organisation attended.
