What is it like to work for Bravissimo

My Manager
My Manager
Bravissimo's Learning and Development Manager is a qualified coach offering support and guidance to all managers, including those who have undergone the development programme. They will help their managers to identify and address their further learning needs, whether that involves further coaching and/or mentoring, or the development of any bespoke courses or learning materials for individuals or groups. Their managers will also be given the opportunity to undergo psychometric personality testing to help them further understand their strengths and development areas.
Bravissimo do not feel that wellbeing should sit as an initiative or project on its own, it is just the way they do things on a daily basis. They make time to talk to people in 121s each month, listen to issues and help people try and resolve them where they can so they can be happy in their role. It is really important for them that they get to know their team members really well so that they can spot changes in behaviours and look out for signs that something is not quite right. They encourage their managers to ensure that if they do spot something out of character, even if it is tiny, to informally chat to their team member to check in and if there is something – they offer support from this point onwards where they can.
My Team
My Team
Bravissimo's company Christmas party is their largest paid team event each year, and rather than being led by their managers, this is entirely organised by a committee of volunteers from each department who can design the event for their teams. Summer is their busiest time and as a thank you their Warehouse managers arranged a BBQ and cooked for all of their staff across all shifts. They have also had a Charity Day in their head office this year. This was a day arranged by their charity committee, where a number of events took place across the day, hosted by their Directors and all to raise money for charity, with prizes and food provided. This was an opportunity for their teams to spend some time together, have some fun and give something back.

Each year they hold a Business Communications Meeting where they bring their Head Office teams and their shop management teams together to review the last year, talk about their plans for the next 12 months, and share ideas and experiences. Also, as an induction event, their MD meets their new starters and describes the Bravissimo journey and brand experience in person, getting to know each new person who joins and listening to their views.
