Canary Wharf College provide primary and secondary education on the Isle of Dogs in East London. They are an independent free school for boys and girls aged 4-11 years old.
The college opened in September 2011 and are based in a quiet setting in the heart of the Isle of Dogs in Tower Hamlets. Almost all the students come from within a kilometre of the college and each class of 20 is managed by a qualified teacher with the support of a teaching assistant.
With beautiful green community playing fields along one side of the college, they are able to provide supporting opportunities not normally available in inner city schools.
Canary Wharf College is run by a Board of Governers, many of whom are parents. It is led by the Executive Principal and founding trustee, Sarah Counter, who supported by her husband and four local parents went on to establish the college.
