About Catalyst Housing

Catalyst Housing are one of the leading housing associations in London and the South East. They aim to be a catalyst for change and improvement, pursuing better homes, better service and a better future for their customers.

The housing association has been at the forefront of housing for more than 80 years and was founded to help deal with the homelessness and overcrowding after World War II. Today, they provide a wide range of housing solutions and community development initiatives, working closely with residents and partners to meet local needs.

They own 21,000 shared ownership and leased homes benefitting more than 40,000 customers. They also develop and provide homes for market sale, investing the profit back into affordable homes.

The Catalyst Housing head office is in London and the Chief Executive is Rod Cahill.

Managers’ performance is evaluated against the delivery of pre-agreed objectives and their leadership behaviours. The company see rewarding performance and behaviours as a way to ensure delivery of targets and objectives.
As well as weekly yoga and occasional mindfulness classes, Catalyst Housing have a chill out room for colleagues to take timeout when they need it. The room includes sofas, adult colouring books and relaxing music.

At their 2017 summer conference, Rod announced that every employee would receive a £100 Love to Shop voucher as recognition of their hard work. The vouchers were very well received and videos were shared of how people spent them.
