At Clarion Events Limited, the managing directors are very approachable; sitting in an open plan office where they are accessible to all staff, without appointment. Communication is via the intranet which is used by the Leader and senior managers to update staff and to enable them to comment and there are monthly update meetings in the head office over some nibbles and drinks. The leader of the organisation passionately believes in Clarion and the staff and his passion and enthusiasm is infectious.

The types of training provided to employees at Clarion Events Limited involve one day and half day training courses, peer group learning sessions and coaching and mentoring. Four peer group learning sessions are run on a monthly basis with one of the key objectives of these events to share knowledge and best practice. There is an Experience Builder Project which provides the leaders with the opportunity to gain knowledge, skills, attitudes, behaviours and experience to develop their careers and CV’s. Employees can also access a learning library of books and CD’s.
