About Communicorp UK

Formed in 2014, Communicorp UK is one of the newest commercial radio companies in the UK. Home to some of the most exciting brands in UK, their stations attract some 3.5 million listeners each week.

Based across 9 different stations, all Communicorp UK employees work in open plan offices. These working environments were designed to encourage greater communication between management and employees, and have since given rise to successful initiatives such as ‘Me Space’.

Created with the intention of raising employee awareness and emphasising the importance of having a healthy mind and body in the workplace, ‘Me Space’ is a wellbeing platform which provides all Communicorp UK employees with confidential guidance and counselling.

As well as looking after their employees, the company also takes great pride in giving something back to the communities in which they operate. Every year, for example, teams from across the company take part in several outdoor activities to raise funds for small local charities.

What is it like to work for Communicorp UK

Company CEO, Mark Lee, travels around each station to participate in local team meetings. Having adopted a more hands on approach to engagement, he calls all company managers on a weekly basis to provide them with business updates.

Managers at all levels of the company take part in a Leadership Academy which is designed to enhance their skills. Everybody who participates in the academy will work closely with a sponsor: a role largely given to the relevant line manager. Sponsors help their managers to achieve their development goals and provide them with guidance and insight.
