Community Gateway Association are a not-for-profit community organisation established to meet the housing needs of people and communities in Preston.
Their services include improving homes and neighbourhoods, providing tenancy advice and support, and helping people to find suitable housing for their needs. In addition, they aim to tackle anti-social behaviour and the causes of it, collect rents and other charges, and work with local communities to build individuals' skills, knowledge and confidence.
The People Services team plan a range of engagement activities throughout the year for staff. As an example, in 2018 they initiated a week of random acts of kindness, when colleagues were randomly selected to receive treats, such as cakes to share with the team, vouchers for a meal or amazon/cinema vouchers.
In addition, they provided lollies for their outdoor and mobile workers, as well as a free ice cream van on-site for all colleagues during the summer heatwave.
