About COOK

Since 1997, COOK have supplied handmade frozen foods and ready meals to clients and customers across the UK.

The company’s core values are extremely important to the ‘COOK community’, and feed into everything they do. These include: be part of the family; be remarkable; have fun; all pig, no bull; and to care. These values are discussed through weekly huddles, weekly meetings, away days and internal communications.

Just one example of how COOK engages employees is by rewarding staff through peer-to-peer nominations. This is an opportunity for anyone to be recognised for their dedication and hard work. Staff are also rewarded with yoga classes, stress-buster workshops and access to the 5k running club.

The company is particularly supportive of parents and those who have IVF treatment, offering an additional five days’ annual leave (pro-rata for part time) in each holiday year during the course of the treatment.

Led by Edward Perry, the COOK can be found in 54 locations across the UK.

The company allows charity days for all staff. This year, employees volunteered at Dandelion Time, who seek to rebuild families previously torn apart by trauma, abuse, or neglect. This has instilled a sense of teamwork and giving something back.
