About Creed Foodservice

Creed Foodservice is a family run business established over 40 years ago by Terry Creed. Creed began running local supermarkets within the Cotswolds, including a small delivery operation which formed the basis of Creed Catering Supplies as it was known.

Creed is now a mature, caring, ambitious, progressive foodservice business. They deliver a range of food products, including butchery and fresh range to caterers across the country from depots in Gloucestershire, Derbyshire and Buckinghamshire.

The business has always put a strong emphasis on employee wellbeing, with a particular focus on nutrition, mental and physical health. Recent initiatives have included weekly 'Free Fruit' days, increased holiday entitlement, while also working closely with a national healthcare provider to ensure that employees can benefit from flu jabs without cost to them.

Creed is aware that stress can lead to absence from work. Managers have received training on how to complete return to work interviews after each period of absence and are more confident on acting on the information obtained. As a result, flexible working arrangements can be discussed and put in place for a short or long term period to help an employee during a stressful period.

What is it like to work for Creed Foodservice

Leadership
Leadership
The CEO leads the family business from the front, well known to many staff through their visibility, approach-ability and daily walk through the business. This leads to a sense that everyone is equally valued as having a critical role. They engage with the workforce in a number of formal and informal ways. Examples of this are personalised signed Birthday cards, which are posted to all employees and a monthly newsletter including business information and news about teams and individuals within the business.
Giving Something Back
Giving Something Back
Creed Foodservice hold the ISO14001 accreditation and have done so for many years. Each year they are audited to measure the impact of their business on the environment. They ensure that all of their company vehicles are low in emissions and this is reported each period. Their commercial vehicles have additional in-cab monitoring which measures the driving style of all drivers and flags where improvements can be made.

Employees are continually recognised by their peers, managers, and customers alike through recognition cards, which are then reviewed by the senior management team. All nominees are congratulated and thanked by a member of the senior management team. Each quarter a number of these nominees are selected as quarterly winners to be put forward for the overall annual award.
