About Crimson Limited

Crimson are an IT consultancy and recruitment agency that helps mid-size organisations grow by uniting their people, processes and technology. Crimson work with leading retailers, distributors, logistics companies and firms in the professional services sector.

Their aim is to inspire IT leaders by building and recognising an outstanding workforce. In the future, Crimson’s goals include maximising shareholder value and exceeding the expectations of their clients.

Crimson aim to make their working environment as engaging as possible for staff. For example, using Microsoft Sway, the company have introduced a dynamic new way for teams to update the rest of the company on monthly activity. Sway allows team leaders to create rich and visual content that can be easily and quickly consumed on desktop PCs as well as smart phones.

Headquartered in Birmingham and with three offices across the UK, the company is led by CEO Rob Mallaband. He is described as being always quick to praise employees publicly in relation to accolades, awards, certifications or client praise. He is also often seen playing pool and table football with staff.

Rob Mallaband is a very hands-on leader. His desk is among the rest of the team in Crimson’s open-plan office. Each of his direct reports have monthly one-to-one check-in meetings, but there are numerous formal and less formal engagement points throughout the month.
