About Crossroads Care Hertfordshire North

Crossroads Care provide support for unpaid family carers and the people they care for in Hertfordshire. Their services are aimed at people who are in need of extra support to enable them to stay living independently in their own homes. Services are flexible, to meet their own needs and include homecare, carer respite breaks, respite centre daycare and training mentoring.

The organisations primary purpose is 'to support vulnerable people, their families and caring friends networks and their local communities'. With this in mind, employees are asked to follow a set of core principles every working day in order to continue to meet this target.

They have four core principles in total: Trustworthy; establishes professional and positive relationships with clients. Effective; Steps into the shoes of the client to understand their challenges and aspirations. Resourceful; Seeks solutions to challenges and is proactive about changing negative situations into positive outcomes. Respectful; Sensitive to the needs and concerns of clients.

Crossroads Care are always on the lookout for like-minded people to join their team, which is why they place incentives for current employees to refer friends and family to the charity. A £150 bonus is paid to any employee that successfully refers someone to a position after passing a probation period.
