About Daniel Thwaites

Thwaites are a hospitality company with around 300 pubs, inns and 4-star hotels and spas throughout the UK. They also brew their own beer that is sold exclusively in its properties.
They have a range of initiatives to reduce their energy consumption and effect on the environment. These include recycling paper, plastics, glass and oil. They use LED lights and water saving shower heads in their hotels as well as their programme to replace old boilers with energy efficient ones in their pubs.

Thwaites recently supported a clean up of part of the Leeds to Liverpool Canal, located just outside one of their properties. They encouraged participation from their Head Office teams, as they are located the nearest, and they found they had a huge uptake and lots of enthusiasm from the senior team. They got involved in litter-picking, creating bat and bird boxes, and removing rubbish from the canal.
