About David Lloyd Leisure

Established in 1982, David Lloyd Leisure (DLL) offer market-leading health, fitness and racquets facilities and services to adults and children at its premium clubs across the UK and Europe.

With 98 clubs in the UK and 13 across Europe, the company has around 560,000 members and employs 6,000 people.

Aiming to be the world's favourite health and fitness club, DLL staff and management follow the company’s core values: passion to serve; will to win; freedom to succeed; edge; we play; and say thank you.

Headquartered in Hertfordshire, DLL are led by Chief Executive Officer Glenn Earlam, who, along with senior executives, spends much of his working week in the company’s clubs. He bases himself in club lounges, and walks around and chat to the team members at all levels and job functions wherever possible.

DLL paid the entry fee for any team member who wished to participate in the Bournemouth Half Marathon on behalf of the company. This led to 42 team members running the race. The company also funds regional events for Team Member of the Month Winners.

The Employee Engagement Survey (EES) runs twice a year and is seen as being part of the company’s DNA. Each general manager receives their club’s EES results and is asked to share them, create an action plan and then share the action plan.
