About Devon Air Ambulance

Devon Air Ambulance Trust are a charity organisation that provide relief of sickness and injury in the county of Devon and surrounding areas. They are a helicopter emergency medical service that is available to all, 24 hours a day.

Their senior leadership team regularly attends strategy days, which look at the entire organisation and set strategies that fit with their mission, vision and values. These goals are also regularly discussed and have been updated quite recently. In addition, their senior leadership team attend leadership training on a regular basis, attend events and volunteer their time.

They are in the process of setting up a green policy to add to their current recycling policy, which includes using a zero-to-landfill company for their waste. In addition, they stopped using plastic disposable cups for their water coolers and require staff to use a glass.

They have no hierarchy as such in their organisation - leaders sit in an open plan office with the staff. Engagement with office staff is a daily occurrence, and engagement with the rest of their staff occurs at their monthly meetings.
