Since its inception in 2002, the English Institute of Sport (EIS) have helped elite athletes to improve performance through the delivery of science, medicine, technology and engineering in eight high-performance centres across the country.
Made up of 350 employees, the EIS has worked with sports leading up to and during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Commonwealth Games and many other national, European and world events in sport.
The organisation is dedicated to improving sporting performance through science, medicine and technology, while its employees perform an integral role in helping it to deliver its aims.
Nigel Walker, the National Director of EIS, drives home the core values of the organisation in any conference calls or speeches he delivers to members of staff, while all employees at all levels are invited to feel like a part of important decisions and are welcomed to engage with the senior management team.
