Equity Housing Group are an affordable housing provider that offer choice and opportunities and rent in home ownership. From their base in Stockport, Cheshire, the organisation’s homes and high-value services improve quality of life for 4,560 households.

Working across 10 sites, staff provide the secure foundation for the people using their services to realise their potential. With the development of the Equity Foundation, the positive impact that the group is having on communities continues to grow.

A Management Development Programme was run in conjunction with an external company. This consisted of a number of modules over a 12-month period and was undertaken by all team leaders and managers. Following on from the completion of this programme, those who completed the course were offered coaching and mentoring with an external company.
Equity Housing Group operate an agile work culture where home working is encouraged, helping working parents or those with caring responsibilities to achieve a greater work-life balance.

Four times each year, members of each team come together to take part in the Big Conversation, where colleagues from across the organisation come together to speak to customers face to face. Competitions and prizes are run for staff to encourage greater team interaction during these events.
