About Fair Ways

Fair Ways deliver a comprehensive range of services to children and young people, including social care, support, training and education services.

The organisation now employs over 220 staff across five key services, looking after over 150 children and young people per year along with their families and foster carers.

From 18 UK sites, Fair Ways look to create a culture in which every individual can harness and develop their potential to achieve great things.

The organisation also believes in growing its own talent, running a number of staff engagement programmes to help employees also reach their full potential.

CEO Mac McHugh is a passionate advocate of social justice and employee rights, with a particular emphasis towards children and young people in care. He fundamentally believes that seeking to address the plight of the young will help to address the ongoing costs to society that stem from neglect.

Fair Ways offer not only management development training, but also regular drop-in masterclasses based on topics that managers have identified. External coaches are also available, alongside mentoring from the senior team and away days.

The Career Passport supports employees by evidencing examples of good working practice, positive feedback received and training required to progress. The one-year Future Leaders Programme supplies the skills and experience for more senior roles. Staff can also apply for a £10,000 Education Grant.
