Team building events are usually managed by department. They involve events like team dinners, Go Ape - outdoor activities centre, treasure hunts; and team nights out. Each department has a budget provided by the company for team building to allow them to organise their own team events. The Fairpoint Annual Conference was set up as one big team building event where every member of staff is together. The conference involves lots of group activities and presentations that enable employees from different areas and departments to mix and build relationships. The conference and the party held after are free to all Fairpoint employees.
