About Fife Housing Group

Fife Housing Group are one of the largest independent living housing associations in the east of Scotland, providing homes to some of those in the greatest housing needs.

Managing approximately 2,500 properties in Fife, the organisation is committed to building the foundations of an excellent business for the benefit of its tenants and other customers.

With employees working from their office in Dunfermline, Fife Housing Group promote its values of being accountable, firm but fair, open and honest, and versatile throughout its operations.

The organisation is also dedicated to being a great place to work, and encourages all staff to develop in their role.

Chief Executive Nicki Donaldson operates an open door policy and is frequently seen chatting with colleagues on the office floor. She is also involved in a number of working groups, and makes time to attend team meetings and shadow colleagues throughout the year.

An external leadership consultant works with leaders on motivating teams and making them feel more valued. Leadership teams are encouraged to take positions on other boards and take professional qualifications such as CIPD and CMI. Shadowing and mentoring is also available.

A successful shadowing scheme has been expanded to include members of the Business Support Team spending time on site with trade colleagues. Employees are encouraged to seek further personal development, with some taking housing and management qualifications. Secondments and succession planning are in place.
