Leadership
Leadership
Peter has always operated on a personal level and managed to maintain this as the business has grown in both size and success. He always considers his people as his number one priority and has built a team around him with the same outlook and approach. Peter knows every employee and often communicates with them individually. Everywhere he goes he will take time out to speak with people including Group Office where he is based. Every morning he goes round the office and greets everyone. A typical example of the personal touch is where he sends everyone a handwritten Birthday and Christmas card. As the business has grown Peter still maintains his visibility and personal touch. For example he is currently embarking on a number of roadshows all around the business. This visibility openess and accessibility combined with his personal approach creates serious loyalty from the people and leads many employees to cite their personal relationships with as a great source opf pride and motivation. Peter is one of the unique business leaders who is both an entreprener and an individual who can lead a successful business. Peter runs his business not to achieve profit at all costs but to give his people a secure and enjoyable place to work and to in doing so ensure that customers get a great deal and unrivalled customer service before, during and after the sale.

They encourage all of their Managers to recognise performances that go above and beyond. When these are identified they have the remit to recommend bonuses for the people concerned. All of their people are either rewarded through commission or bonus schemes however they have found that people appreciate the unexpected bonuses more than those that are part of their normal contract.
