Each year the Mayor nominates a charity and there are numerous events to support this. Additionally, there is an established "charity Group" and a number of well-attended events have been organised over the last 12 months including 5-a-side football tournament, Rounders match, cake-baking and quizzes. This group raises money for several of the larger national charity events such as Children in Need and Comic Relief.
