Good Relations Limited run a full training programme called ‘The Academy' to supplement training courses provided by their parent company Chime. The Digital Academy is a monthly training programme which keeps the agency inspired with the latest technologies, tools and businesses. For example, the last session was focused on how brands are using social tools such as Snapchat. They also have a unique training and development partnership with Google. Lunch & Learn sessions run at least once a month on a variety of subjects for varying levels, they aim to be fluid and based on what employees would like to learn. Experts from within the agency run the sessions and feedback is always provided to develop them into the most useful format. Bespoke sessions are set up as and when they have access to industry experts through their network and external sessions are set up with suppliers. They hold monthly ‘Good Stories’ events which see them bring inspirational speakers into the agency to share experiences over a drink. Employees at all levels are encouraged to bring guests in. To date they have secured speakers from the BBC, Channel 4, Google, Facebook Instagram, as well as a number of high-profile, current influencers. An ongoing monthly performance and feedback review, linked to personal development processes, helps identify required training needs. The Chime Internal Training Programme courses run throughout the year for different levels across core competencies: consultancy skills; digital; harnessing free insight and business development.
