Following the subsequent collapse in global markets, the impact of the Credit Crunch meant many Finance Directors were made redundant or released from employment. There are volumes of Finance Directors out of work and unable to find work. To address this, in January 2009 Goodman Masson designed a ‘Finance Director workshop’ aimed at the unemployed FD. The purpose was to provide Finance Directors with the skills and knowledge to find employment by looking at CV construction, interview competencies, the effective use of online job searches and networking sites such as LinkedIn and relationships with recruiters. In 2009 the company ran 19 workshops for 148 Finance Directors. In 2010 they ran 23 workshops with 175 Finance Directors attending. In 2011 they had 25 workshops with 180 Finance Directors attending. In March 2011, Goodman Masson was awarded Best Professional Services Recruitment Consultancy 2011 for giving back to the Finance community.
