About Grey Health Group

What is it like to work for Grey Health Group

My Manager
My Manager
As a business that prides itself on providing excellent client service, GHG have to make sure that they develop their team, meaning Talent Management is their top priority. They develop and support their managers in a number of ways, for example Line Management Masterclasses, which include an Introduction to Line Management, Giving Effective Feedback, Coaching, Mentoring and also Effective Recruitment. Another thing GHG have implemented is their Maestro Programme. This is a five-day immersion workshop with the purpose of exploring and unleashing individual’s leadership potential to inspire deeper trust and have greater impact with Senior Executives, their teams and their clients. The company also offers a number of courses that are designed to ensure employees interact with clients credibly. Performance across the business is measured through Personal Development Plans. Whether you are an employee or manager, everyone is appraised every six months and are continually set challenging objectives in one to one meetings with their own Line Managers. GHG’s Executive Managing Director will even personally work with Senior Managers to discuss and plan their career progression and performance in line with the overall business strategy.
Personal Growth
Personal Growth
In 2016 GHG were proud to launch the GHG Academy. The programme has been designed to deliver a broad range of development opportunities, ranging from learning the basics to pushing developing team members outside of their comfort zone to succeed in areas such as pitching to win, opening client doors and cold calling. More informally, the company run ‘lunch and learns’, which range from demonstrating innovative pitching or sharing therapy area experience to a day in the life of a pharmacist, all of which appeal to different members of team both professionally but also, more importantly, personally. All employees have access to GHG’s training programme and the programme is directly connected to the company's employee appraisal process and Personal Development Plans, thereby ensuring the company’s training is directly supporting employee development across the business. The company have even provided external opportunities to the team across all levels and provided one to one coaching for Line Managers.
My Team

Encouraging open communication and team interaction is something GHG are incredibly passionate about; therefore their office is open plan and there is not one person in an individual office, not even the Executive MD. This encourages team interaction and also gives everyone the chance to have face-to-face time with all employees, regardless of level or role. GHG hold a monthly company meeting which their Executive MD Claire Gillis leads. These are always well attended and give everyone across the practices a chance to showcase innovative and impressive projects they have been working on over the past few months. Not only does this give employees an open forum to communicate in but they are also incredibly fun. Just last month the Executive Creative Director presented on an event they were working on for a client, but this was told in an engaging way through music and even included a bit of dancing! As well as this the CEO also sends out weekly ‘State of the Nation’ emails to update all employees on the achievements of the week and any projects for clients in the pipeline. There is even a weekly social night, team events and proactive Line Management training. These practices enable transparent communication and promote team interaction.
