They do not restrict themselves with budgets for training and social events. They pride themselves on this fact and if there is a training and development need they will pay for it. Guardian Industries are heavily involved with Hull College implementing NVQ's to Level 5 and have been since 2003. They arrange formal training through such organisations as Hull University Business School (they are Corporate Partners of the School) and Engineering Employers Federation.

To encourage team building they hold a range of events including a Family Days, Loss Control Celebration Dinners for various shifts and departments, free drinks at staff Christmas dinners and BBQs for those on Continuous Shifts.

Guardian Industries actively support local charities with donations. They financially support ‘Goole in Bloom’ and care for the garden on a roundabout nearby. As part of their Healthguard objectives they also support a local children's football team, Goole Town Tigers.
