About Haven House Children's Hospice

Haven House support children and young people aged from birth to 19 years old who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Its mission is to provide the highest quality care, including respite and end-of-life care to babies, children and young people and their families across its local communities.

Since its inception in the 1990s, the charity has supported over 900 families across North and North East London, West Essex and East Hertfordshire.

Haven House have worked to ensure that every aspect of an employee’s experience during their time at the charity is a positive one. This has included improving access to online policies and procedures to enable staff to take control of their ability to improve their knowledge.

Chief Executive Mike Palfreman engages with every member of the organisation on a daily basis by having his lunch in the staff kitchen and volunteering within the care team and at the numerous fundraising events held at Haven House.
