Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce are a member-led, not-for-profit organisation, working to support the local business community, including a 1,400-strong network of members.
From four sites across the region, the organisation provides access to solutions that local businesses need in order to achieve their goals, through engaging, influencing and connecting.
The organisation also aims to promote a positive working environment, in which staff can feel comfortable and enjoy going to work.
Employees are offered a wide range of support, helping in particular those with caring opportunities to improve their work-life balance. In addition, senior management look to combat workplace stress through offering counselling to all employees through a healthcare scheme.
Chief Executive Sharon Smith operates an ‘open door’ policy, where employees are welcome to pop in for a chat. Sharon also aims to be very visible, talking to staff when walking around the office and regularly participating in social events, such as quizzes and dinners.
