About Hydrock

Hydrock Consultants are a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy firm with offices located across the country. Hydrock is passionate about three things: creating high-performing buildings and infrastructure; unlocking complex sites and being a great place to work.

As a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, Hydrock work in a highly competitive market, so their most important asset is their people. Their technical skills and ability to listen to clients, communicate and address their needs, influence the success that they see. They recognise the value of their people by placing a high priority on their wellbeing and motivation.

All offices and teams have a 'wellbeing champion' who has received specific training and advice on how to help the groups they represent to manage allocated funds to instigate and support wellbeing initiatives. These have included life drawing, lunchtime yoga, massage and mindfulness events, the purchase of board games, BBQ equipment and office plants. One team has even purchased a beehive with the aim of working together to produce Hydrock honey.

One of the most popular initiatives with employees at Hydrock is the opportunity to claim a £200 annual 'Healthy Living Bonus'. The bonus allows employees to pursue a healthy lifestyle outside of work by helping them purchase equipment, apparel or memberships that enhance the ability to pursue activities of their choice.

Hydrock's annual Challenge Day is their innovative approach to encouraging team interaction and communication. The event brings the whole company together for the day. It delivers a brief business update and connects employees from across the UK through outdoor team games, concluding with an evening BBQ, band and bar.
