ING Direct runs a range of events organised by staff to raise funds for the organisations charities and the company matches sums raised. ING Direct are currently organising a Zumbathon and are planning a wellie conga in 2012 to raise funds for their local charity, which specialises in horticultural therapy and learning! The company also gets staff to team build by providing a wide range of volunteering opportunities for their local charities - or they can go individually so there's flexibility all round in terms of the opportunities offered. They offer professional consultancy for their charities too, providing them with valuable experience which they may not otherwise benefit from. ING Direct also go one step further, as they have a partnership with a social enterprise charity called MyBnk. They offer financial education for young people - so the company asked key individuals around the business to organise and implement a learning day which MyBnk hosted.
