Just supports employee development and progression of all employees in a number of ways, including in-role development, coaching, mentoring and face-to-face training programmes. An innovative example recently was the roll out of 'Just engage', a programme for people managers. This 3 day programme, spread over 2 months, supports their goal to ensure that their people feel well led and well managed, with opportunities for growth and development.

The programme includes face-to-face group training sessions, supported by thought-provoking content including videos, case studies and practical sessions. It also includes group and individual coaching sessions.

Just Group partner with an external firm to offer a manager level 5 apprenticeship to people managers. This 13-month programme incorporates blended learning with one day a month in the classroom to satisfy the 20% 'off the job' learning requirement, as well as unlimited access to a tutor for the duration of the programme.
Just Group have recently trained a number of mental health first aiders across the organisation and support national mental health awareness campaigns with information, sharing of stories and providing 'time to talk'.
