About Karndean Designflooring

Inspired by nature, Karndean Designflooring is a global leader in flooring design. Homeowners and specifiers can create unique floor designs to suit any space.

Designflooring creates floors that look stunning yet are easy to look after. There’s a set of customisable features that allows buyers to create something special and personal. With endless styles, finishes and formats, everyone can find something to suit their personal style.

Karndean started life in 1973 as a small family business. Since 2003, the operation has doubled in size, with 170 UK employees and 400 worldwide. However, it remains a family-owned business which is based in Evesham.

Karndean has come a very long way, yet, as the company has grown, they’ve stuck to their core values: treating employees as family, behaving with integrity towards customers, encouraging creativity and having a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Managing Director Paul Barratt spends his time in an open-plan office environment or going on visits with sales representatives. He very much sees himself as ‘one of the team’ and can be regularly seen ‘managing by walking around’ and making drinks for employees.
