Key Training recruit unemployed young people and place them in permanent jobs where they deliver an office-based apprenticeship. They also offer apprenticeships to staff who are already in employment.
It all kicked off back in 1965, when computers created a step change in the way organisations processed data. Workers had to rapidly learn new skills, and Key responded with training that improved the speed and accuracy of data processing and offered practices and procedures that improved health, wellbeing and safety in the workplace.
Headquartered in Bracknell, the company today has offices around the UK, including Newcastle, Ipswich and Wellingborough. Their Chief Executive is Jim Clarke.
The firm believe that recognition is greater than reward. ‘People of the Quarter’ enjoy meals for two and extra holidays. There are also extra holidays for local charity work and for zero sick days.
