David Napley passed his final law exams at the age of 18 in 1937 and immediately set up in partnership with Sidney Kingsley. The firm quickly established a good reputation and clients included Jeremy Thorpe, Princess Michael of Kent, and Italian banker Roberto Calvi.

Today, the firm has over 50 Partners and over 160 other fee-earners under Managing Partner Linda Woolley. Women make up 52% of the firm’s Partners. Salaries are reviewed on merit.
