About Kuoni

Kuoni Group are a leading service provider to the global travel industry and governments, with a strong focus on Asia.

Alfred Kuoni launched his pioneering travel agency in Switzerland in 1906. He was a visionary, an adventurer and an explorer, opening up new destinations and experiences across the globe.

Kuoni became the biggest travel company in Switzerland, setting up in the UK in 1965. They’re now the country’s leading long-haul tour operator and have over 200 awards and over 40 stores. Kuoni Group have a turnover of CHF 3.35 billion and around 8,000 staff.

The Kuoni Travel UK group, headquartered in Dorking, includes specialist businesses Carrier, Kirker, Voyage Jules Verne, CV Villas and Journeys of Distinction. Derek Jones is the UK Managing Director.

A host of conferences held in the UK and overseas include skills training for store managers, assistant store managers, customer-experience executives and overseas-resort managers. There’s a tailored development programme for the five area sales managers.

In 2017, the store managers’ annual conference was in the Maldives, with the team divided up and sent to different locations to see different aspects of the culture. Assistant managers had theirs in Portugal. Top sellers also enjoy a VIP trip, last year was to the Maldives.
