Lakeland was founded in the early 60's and are a family business with the same strong values of quality and customer care now as when it first started. From selling plastic bags for home freezing in Windermere to over 4,000 kitchen and home solutions today.

Thanks to the loyalty and commitment of their colleagues, customers and original, innovative products, they are now an international multi channel retailer with over 60 UK stores, extensive websites and several growing businesses overseas. Each year at the retail conference 'Sam's cup' is awarded to colleagues from the colleagues that won the previous year. The winners are chosen by colleagues for colleagues e.g. The car park assistants at Windermere were awarded the cup for being bright and cheerful in all weathers, consistently demonstrating their values and excellent customer service.
