About Lebara Limited

What is it like to work for Lebara Limited

The Chairman regularly leads all employee meetings, encourages employees to speak to him directly and operates an open door approach. The founders are very visible within the company and they are still very close to the business. The Chairman always uses opportunities to build rapport with employees and deliver inspirational meetings and guidance, to motivate and encourage employees to achieve their full potential. He prefers to speak directly to employees rather than using email communications. To this end Lebara have established quarterly global Town Hall video and audio conference calls, so that every employee has the opportunity to hear him directly. Prior to the call employees are invited to submit questions for him to address. He uses this forum for a number of purposes, from sharing his vision, through to making announcements on strategic direction and launches, and answering specific employee queries, if received.

To celebrate the company's 11th 'birthday', all employees were invited to the Company's Anniversary party, to celebrate the achievements made as a result of everyone’s hard work and efforts. This was held in Gibson Hall in London. Guests were greeted by a champagne reception and canapés, and able to mingle outside in the garden. There were artists doing cut-out caricatures and sketches for anyone who wanted a memento of the evening. Food was served in the impressive hall, and employees were generously treated to a free bar for the entire night, which was very well received! Before the disco started, the Chairman gave an inspirational speech, thanking everyone for their hard work, outlining some exciting plans for the future and his vision for the Company going forward. It is a tradition at Lebara to have a birthday cake at each anniversary party, and at this event they had an amazing map of the world.

Lebara believes that because the company is a medium size organisation, there is still a sense of "family" and employees feel comfortable to share ideas. The Chairman has been instrumental in the introduction of "Lebara Ideas". This scheme provides an easy way for employees to submit well-thought out ideas they have on all aspects of the business, from employee engagement to increasing sales and brand awareness. Employee ideas are discussed amongst the Executive team, who give personal feedback or ask questions about their ideas to help with taking the idea forward. If some ideas are not feasible, employees are given the reasons why and are further encouraged to submit ideas. Top ideas are shared on the intranet and followed through, with regular participation and updates with the employee. In the the Customer Service department, Lebara runs monthly surveys which are totally anonymous and employees are asked to provide feedback on their direct managers. Actions is taken where necessary to ensure that any areas on development or concerns raised are addressed.
