Leeds Federated Housing Association provide homes for affordable and social rent across the Leeds City region, homes for sale through shared ownership and supports customers through a variety of services including debt advice.
Through its vision of ‘building futures together’, the organisation aims to enable the maximum number of people to access and live sustainably in good value, affordable housing.
Members of staff at Leeds Federated’s seven sites were involved in putting together the organisation’s core principles. These include customer focus, communication, teamwork, leadership and business sense.
All employees are supported through flexible working opportunities to accommodate their personal circumstances, while their wellbeing is supported through trying different approaches to mindfulness in order to benefit their professional and personal lives.
Chief Executive Matthew Walker believes in promoting communication across the organisation, and initiated a communications group along with an open-door policy to encourage staff to speak to him whenever they would like to.
