About Lothian Pension Fund

Lothian Pension Fund provide pension services for local government employees in Edinburgh and the Lothians area of Scotland.

As a provider of a pension scheme for so many people, Lothian Pension Fund need to ensure that they understand what their members and their employers both want and need whilst they focus their efforts on continuing to exceed the expectations of those stakeholders.

They plan on exceeding expectations by developing their talent, creating an inclusive and agile workforce that is member-focused and flexible and responsive to new ways of working.

To ensure that their employees can develop with them, Lothian Pension Fund have recently acquired an e-learning platform and have populated it with hundreds of courses (from customer service skills to management to personal development) and are giving access to all colleagues.

Some of these courses will be mandatory, with others purely through choice. This links in to their new performance management process, where all colleagues identify their training needs in and wherever possible, these can be met by e-learning, in-house training or projects/secondments.
