About Lyreco UK & Ireland

Lyreco are a B2B workplace-solutions provider. They supply businesses with everything they need from every product category including catering, hygiene, PPE, office supplies, IT and print.

In 1926, Georges-Gaston Gaspard opened a bookstore in Valenciennes, France. It grew from a retail company into a printing-service company producing its own paper-products range.

In 1936, he opened a large warehouse in Valenciennes, which became the main operating centre of the company. Georges-Gaston noticed that delivering the products directly to the customers was more convenient for both customers and the company. In 1979, his son created Lyreco.

Today, the company is a world leader that’s active in 42 countries across four continents and employs 9,000 staff. The UK arm is based in Shropshire and the firm has 1,500 employees across the UK and Ireland under Managing Director Peter Hradisky.

Lyreco is involved in a number of fundraising activities, including some smaller projects. Staff donate egg shells from their canteen to Friends of Apley Woods, which use them for a number of local projects, as well as donating cardboard to support wildlife protection in the local area.
