Macs Adventure are the leading self-guided holiday specialists in the UK, with holidays all over the world, enabling thousands of people to explore the world around them on active vacations.
Neil Lapping is Macs Adventure's Chief Adventure Officer and founder. He dreamed up the idea of guided walking tours in his Glasgow flat in 2003. However, people didn’t want guided tours. Neil changed tack and offered self-guided tours instead - Macs Adventure was born.
The company offers more than 450 trips to 25,000 customers each year. Classic trips include the West Highland Way, Tour du Mont Blanc, biking in Tuscany and the Camino de Santiago.
There’s a new headquarters at Glasgow’s Skypark as well as new offices in Germany and Colorado. In 2015, Neil expanded into cycling holidays and now employs 50 people from 12 countries.
Macs Adventure have succeeded by focusing on top-quality holidays, and understanding what people want from their holiday adventures.
