The passion and enthusiasm of Paul and Henry is very transparent in everything they do. They are true visionaries and will do whatever it takes to inspire and motivate the whole company. This is clearly demonstrated in the company wide Monday morning and Friday afternoon meetings when everyone gets together to plan the week ahead and to celebrate the successes of the week that's been. Despite the rapid growth of the company in the last year, Paul and Henry are committed to maintaining a family feel and a close working relationship that is exciting and vibrant and this atmosphere runs right through the company.
As the majority of the managers have themselves progressed through the company they have the ability to empathise and understand the workload and pressures that comes with each role. Because Team Managers sit with their teams they are accessible and approachable and are on hand to recognise and observe any excessive workload or pressures their team may have and can rectify the situation before it manifests into something larger. Targets are discussed regularly and performance around the targets is constantly reviewed. All managers actively encourage their teams to recognise their colleagues successes by asking them to vote for who that week is most deserving for recognition and receive the team's trophy.
Market Makers' Training & Recruitment Manager has become IOSH (Managing Safely) qualified and as part of this qualification they have, this year, created a process for DSE (Display Screen Equipment). This enables the company to assess individuals needs quickly and provide the correct equipment needed for them to do their job effectively and safely. Each week the company provides a free circuit training session, which is attended by the directors of the company and any staff who wish to attend. Market Makers employ an external fitness instructor to come in to the office to run the session and it is open to all.
