About Maryhill Housing

Maryhill Housing Association are a charitable, community-based housing association that provide affordable social housing in the north of Glasgow. They work extensively on community regeneration, new housing development and tenant participation projects to enhance the lives of their customers.

They own over 3,100 homes including tenements, retirement housing and multi-storey apartments. Most of their properties are for rent and they also develop some homes for shared equity. In addition, they provide a factoring service for around 700 properties.

To improve employee engagement in 2018, staff were given the time to visit other similar organisations to understand their structures, and see what works well and less well. They have also been given the opportunity to effectively shape their own job descriptions by deciding what skills are required to do the job well and what tasks are inside and outside the scope of the role.

In 2018 they celebrated their 41st anniversary while under the wing of Chief Executive Bryony Willett.
