Masternaut has used some very innovative ways to raise money for charity - especially schemes that benefit employees as well as helping charities directly. Rather than just raising money for charity, Masternaut is helping to raise awareness of issues on a national scale, and is engaging with its workforce and industry in a very powerful way; Martin Port, the Managing Director of Masternaut Three X, launched the ‘Cash For Quitters’ scheme, offering his employees who smoked a £2,500 bonus to kick the habit by Christmas. If they successfully quit, half of the money would go straight into their bank accounts - the other £1,250 given to Cancer Research UK on their behalf. Now, a group of nine successful quitters from the Aberford-based company is set to hand over a giant Christmas present of £11,250 to Cancer Research UK.
