About Michelmores

Michelmores are a leading law firm based in Exeter, Bristol and London, advising clients across the UK and internationally.

Beginnings were modest, the firm was founded in 1887 by an entrepreneurial, energetic young lawyer called Henry Michelmore in a small but bustling office overlooking Exeter Cathedral.

Today, the firm boasts 60 partners, more than 350 people under Managing Partner Malcolm Dickinson and a record of success based on offering seamless advice on areas important to people and organisations.

The company’s philosophy is to listen closely to clients. A dedicated client partner spends time with each client to ensure clear understanding, and an open, collegiate culture fosters interactions between people rather than abstract functional titles.

A central theme is putting people first, as they make the difference between a transaction and a relationship, to offer genuine solutions that deliver more than a 'dry'? legal answer, thanks to working in partnership with clients.
