Midas have a Mandatory Eye Wear Policy,  This policy was introduced from January 2012 and was developed after feedback from staff was received by the Safety Steering Group, who are continually monitoring Midas safety performance and looking for ways in which the company can further reduce accidents and incidents on their sites. A poster with the new safety glasses was produced to make the selection easier, along with a specific Eyesight Protection Toolbox Talk. Since the introduction of this policy, the wearing of safety glasses has become fully implemented across all sites, is applicable to all subcontractors and most importantly, has delivered a reduction in incidents involving eyes. Their has also been an Increase in Senior Management visibility,  The number of site visits by senior management has been increased through directly feedback from staff through employee survey suggestions and feedback from local breakfast meetings. This has positively impacted site morale and given staff increased contact with senior leaders of their business.
