About Mills & Reeve

Mills and Reeve are a leading UK law firm with a collaborative approach and an ambitious culture, with staff working closely together with a can-do’ attitude.

Mills and Reeve were founded in 1789 by 24-year-old Christopher Pemberton. The original Mills and Reeve were formed in Norwich in 1880 when Henry Mills and Edmund Reeve pooled resources to tackle the legal aspects around Norwich’s new tram system.

The current practice took shape in 1987 when the Norwich-based Mills and Reeve and Cambridge-based Francis and Co formed Mills and Reeve Francis. In 2014, the practice formed an exclusive ‘best friends’ alliance with French law firm FIDAL.

These days, Mills and Reeve have a turnover of around £82m and more than 890 staff under Managing Partner Claire Clarke and Senior Partner Justin Ripman.

They have offices in London, Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds, Manchester and Norwich and, according to Chambers UK, are among the top-five UK law firms for client satisfaction.
