About MLM Group

MLM are a multi-disciplinary consultancy covering buildings, infrastructure, compliance and environment for both private and public sector clients.

In 1966, David Maddocks and John Lusher set up Maddocks and Lusher, a structural engineering business, from their homes in Ipswich. In 1973, Colin Matthews joined the pair and MLM was established.

Today, MLM have a £34m turnover, 40 directors, 28 partners and 430 employees across 14 offices in the UK and Ireland. Chief Executive Officer Neil Cooper and Chairman Steve Oliver oversee a company handling projects worth around £20bn at any one time.

With 50 years of experience, MLM are a leading multi-disciplinary design, compliance and specialist practice improving the built environment through creative technical design and engineering excellence.

The company takes a collaborative approach and is dedicated to ensuring they have the most skilled teams in place to meet clients' needs, paving the way to lasting partnerships.

The MLM Foundation was launched in 2018 with the aim of supporting small, locally-based charities and community groups in areas of disadvantage. The Foundation is involved in a number of projects, including mentoring, skills exchange and learning, as well as community sports.

Employees are invited to submit nominations and then a winner and two runners up are decided by a panel of directors. Prizes include a celebration lunch and vouchers.
