About MSL Property Care Services Ltd

MSL Property Care Services are a facilities-management company that respond, deliver and anticipate customer needs.

The Halifax-based company was formed in 2007. Today, it has a £10m turnover, around 100 staff and a can-do attitude under Managing Director Jeremy Harrison.

Success is down to team members knowing their stuff. They’re experienced and well trained, and give sensible advice informed by their in-depth knowledge of property maintenance and facilities management. Personal relationships are a priority.

In 2016, MSL Property Care Services decided to become a great company to work for, on the basis that customers will never love a company unless its employees love it first.

Its vision and values have been followed by a new monthly ‘Team Champion’ award scheme to foster camaraderie across teams. Awards recognise performance and excellent customer service. There’s also a monthly quiz and monthly ‘toolbox talks’ on a range of topics.

Jeremy walks the floor daily, taking a genuine interest in employees. He has an open door policy and employees are free to meet with him to discuss any issues or suggestions. He holds formal senior management meetings monthly and joins in charitable events.

Health and safety is paramount. Monthly ‘toolbox talks’ cover these issues, for example working at height. There are also live audits on site to ensure correct safety processes are followed. The company also offers a cycle-to-work scheme, subsidised gym membership and free fruit and water.

This year, the company has set a goal of raising £10,000. Events include a colour run, a Macmillan Coffee Morning and taking part in the British Heart Foundation’s ‘Bag It Beat It’.
