About MSL Property Care Services Ltd

MSL Property Care Services are a facilities-management company that respond, deliver and anticipate customer needs.

The Halifax-based company was formed in 2007. Today, it has a £10m turnover, around 100 staff and a can-do attitude under Managing Director Jeremy Harrison.

Success is down to team members knowing their stuff. They’re experienced and well trained, and give sensible advice informed by their in-depth knowledge of property maintenance and facilities management. Personal relationships are a priority.

In 2016, MSL Property Care Services decided to become a great company to work for, on the basis that customers will never love a company unless its employees love it first.

Its vision and values have been followed by a new monthly ‘Team Champion’ award scheme to foster camaraderie across teams. Awards recognise performance and excellent customer service. There’s also a monthly quiz and monthly ‘toolbox talks’ on a range of topics.

Managing Director Jeremy Harrison walks the floor every day, engaging with employees who are free to meet with him to discuss any issues or suggestions. Formal manager meetings are held monthly, at which the leader empowers the team to take more responsibility over their areas of interest.
MSL seek to alleviate stress by having a clear organisation structure, and the close involvement of management in the day-to-day running of the business helps to identify stress and the causes so appropriate action can be taken.

The company’s tenth anniversary target of raising £10,000 for charitable causes has been a central focus in engaging all members of staff. A wide range of events have been organised, including Tough Mudders and a sponsored bike ride, which have helped with team building across the business.
