About NCFE.

NCFE are a national awarding organisation that is passionate about designing, developing and certificating diverse, nationally-recognised qualifications and awards. These qualifications contribute to the success of millions of learners at all levels.

Established in 1848, the organisation looks to be the most admired company for developing the global learning culture through excellence in innovation, people, service and performance.

NCFE pride themselves on five company values: Always customer focused, be the best, do the right thing, make it happen and stronger together. All staff are motivated to live and breathe these values in order to provide the best possible customer service.

The organisation is also dedicated to being a great place to work, and employees are given the tools to develop in their roles.

Chief Executive Officer David Grailey believes communication is key for creating a happy working environment and actively encourages staff to talk directly to him about anything that may be concerning them.

Development is primarily delivered through workshops, plus coaching, mentoring, peer support, journals, forums, case studies and online learning.

Through Westfield Health, staff can claim the cost of optical and dental treatment and complimentary therapies, and get a 24/7 counselling helpline. There’s a monthly Indian head massage and reflexology clinic, while family-friendly policies include paid time off for foster care, paternity and ante-natal appointments.

Pensions are flexible: staff can flex their 9% contributions by increasing their pay by 4% and still save 5% of pension contributions. Last year, the business applied the £1k company annual bonus to staff salary, increasing pay by 7%. Performance-related pay has also just begun.
