The health and wellbeing of all Newhall employees is highly prioritised and encouraged at all times. They do have their own onsite gym facility including table tennis and showers. They also developed a good relationship some time ago with a local fitness facility which is immediately next door to Newhall which is very convenient for us. Their trainers have also popped round to give talks on training and nutrition and they have slotted in lunchtime classes for employees. They now have employees who attend the Gym on a regular basis and are becoming super fit. Apart from informal, therapeutic relaxed banter between employees in the rest room and in departments, they have a holistic therapist who visits every month, if not more, and they also have a beautician who calls in whenever requested. With consideration to healthy body, healthy mind, they offer excellent healthcare benefits including Medicash to all staff upon commencement with generous annual cover levels for Complementary Therapies, Alternative Therapies and Chiropody benefits. They also offer Bupa as another free benefit in kind after successful completion of a probationary period and an employee could be quickly referred for counselling by their GP should this be required. We can also relax in and enjoy well-maintained landscaped areas including a lawn, roses, hanging baskets, tubs and a fountain. Alternatively, staff can enjoy a two-minute walk to the spectacular River Dee seafront, shops or walk and contemplate views over the farmland next door.

Newhall have been printing end of term magazines for Meadowside School now for a number of years and will continue to do so. This is a very deserving special needs school and the magazine is very much enjoyed by the children, parents and staff. It is also shared with families who are considering the school for their loved ones. They have, for the second year, sponsored the printing costs of Kaleidoscope magazine for the Hoylake Festival of Firsts. This is aimed at encouraging children to write and be creative. They have also made a donation to their local Community Centre towards their lift fundraising project to install an external lift for people with ambulant or other physical disabilities. This will enable them to use more rooms for various groups on higher floors. Irby Juniors FC recently asked for help towards sponsorship of their football kit. One of the employee’s son is the goalie. They were happy to donate a raffle prize for the UTS Foundation launch party recently. Their goal is to change the lives of the most vulnerable people in the community and Newhall's Candis Club Committee has since agreed to make a further donation to UTS of £1500. It is the Committee of Candis Club who meet and determine the policy regarding donations. Newhall's Candis Club is also currently a sector champion for the Big Give Christmas Challenge.

One very effective and enjoyable way employees were rewarded for their efforts went ahead in October when Newhall had a week of Halloween Games in their call centre. It was so popular another programme is being planned for very soon. All of the following incentivised activities with prizes galore were included over the course of the week- Guess what's on the Pumpkin, Decorate your desk, Horror Movie Quiz, Boo Bingo, Marshmallow Blindfold, Mummy Wrap, Sweets Race, Mystery Box, Pin Frank's Head, Fancy Dress, Pumpkin Carving, Trick or Treat Duck Apple, Trick or Treat Rotten Apples. Many of the games were ’get a sale to have a go’ and Agents were split into competing teams.
